SYMBOL SCOUT MOVEMENT
I. DEFINITIONS SYMBOL
Scout emblem is the emblem / badge Scout fixed allegorized the nature, circumstances, values, norms held by each member of the Scout Movement is aspired by the Scout Movement.
The emblem was created by Mr. Soenardjo Atmodipuro, a Scoutmaster who actively worked as a high official Department of Agriculture. The symbol used since August 14, 1961 at the National Scout Flag Indonesian Education Movement bestowed on the Scout Movement.
II. FORM AND MEANING OF METAPHOR
1. The shape of the emblem scout movement is a shadow image (silhouette) coconut shoots.
2. The figurative sense symbol of the Scout Movement:
Coconut juice in a state of growth is called the "origin" and the term forerunner in Indonesia means that the first natives who lowers a new generation. It allegorized that each Scout is central to the survival of the Indonesian nation.
Coconut juice can last a long time in a state that anyway. It allegorized that each Scout is a spiritual and jasmaniyahnya healthy, strong and resilient, and great determination in the face of all the challenges in life and in taking all the exams and hardship to serve the country and the nation of Indonesia.
Palm can grow anywhere, which proves the amount of effort to adjust to the surroundings. This means that each Scout can adjust in the community wherever he is and in a state that anyway.
Towering coconut palms grow up straight and is one of the tallest trees in Indonesia. It allegorized that each Scout has high ideals and noble straight and honest and he remained upright is not easily swayed by everything.
Palm roots grow strong and tightly in the soil. This means the determination and confidence of each Scout who adhered to the basics and foundations of good, true, powerful and real. Determination and confidence is used by him to strengthen themselves in order to achieve its goals
Palm is a multipurpose tree from tip to root. This means that each Scout is a useful man to devote themselves and their usefulness to the ground water, the nation and the State unity of the Republic of Indonesia and to mankind.
